United Arab Emirates, April 16, 2025, The General Secretariat of the Cabinet (GSOC) has organized a session on "The Current Status of Public Policies in the UAE" attended by more than one hundred government officials and experts in developing and measuring the impact of public policies in ministries and federal entities. 

The session aligns with the UAE government's efforts to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of public policies, ensure the achievement of its national objectives, and meet the evolving needs of various community segments.

During the session, GSOC shared a comprehensive report on the UAE's most important public on various sectors, including community development, healthcare, education, labor market, economy, human resources, and environment. 

The report focused on the pillars of public policies and their impact on the relevant segments of society in nine main axes: demographic profile, R&D and  innovation, resilience and preparedness, workforce and capability development, economic, financial, and environmental sustainability, digitization and technology, social care and protection, accessibility to services, and the cultural preservation and national identity.

Important aspects of the study included recommendations based on an evaluation of the public policies in force in the country, the results of their implementation, and the extent of their contribution to achieving national priorities and objectives. The study's outcomes were linked to the priorities of the UAE Centennial 2071, as well as the results of benchmarking studies on the most pioneering countries in various fields. 
The study identified more than one hundred opportunities in vital national sectors, which can be turned into substantial achievements through the development of public policies. The projected policies will enhance the quality of government services provided to various stakeholders in the country, support the country's global competitiveness, enhance the sustainability of its economic growth, and keep pace with international best practices in government work.
